Star Shinning International LimitedSensor counter - Mong Kok
Computer integrated systems design supplies

Parts that feel the room. Wire that carries the signal. SENSE

GeneWTech is the counter brand operated by Star Shinning International Limited, a Hong Kong supplier of sensor modules and cabling for integrated systems work. Every tray, coil and starter box leaves the counter at Rm B 2/F Silvercorp Intl Tower, 707-713 Nathan Rd, Mong Kok, Hong Kong - 999077, Hong Kong (HK), inspected and tagged before it is boxed. We stock for engineers who build automation, access control, counting lines and safety interlocks, and we keep the parts they call for again and again within reach of the counter.

A counter built around the way integrated systems are actually assembled

Most sensor orders do not arrive as a clean list. A controls engineer needs three different thread sizes because the mounting brackets on site are not uniform. A panel shop needs a hundred coiled cable runs cut to a length that matches the trunking already installed. A security contractor needs twelve starter kits that will be handed to twelve technicians on the same morning, each one complete enough to finish a door frame without a second trip. Star Shinning International Limited keeps its counter stock arranged around those real cases rather than around a tidy catalogue.

That is why the six services published on this site overlap and why they are not sold as isolated products. Proximity Sensor Modules form the core of what the counter holds. Ribbon Cable Bundles are cut and coiled to the routing the buyer describes. Starter Kit Boxes bundle a module, a cable run, a mounting set and a quick reference card so that a technician can begin work without opening three separate boxes. Bulk Order Desks handle the larger programmes where a single purchase order has to be split across several delivery windows. Sample Pair Shipments let a design team test two units before a line is committed. Warranty Swap Counter covers the failure cases, because sensors do fail in the field and a replacement should not stall a commissioning schedule.

Everything sits inside a professional, scientific and technical services framework. We are a distributor, not a design house, and we say so plainly. What we add is stock discipline, a counter that answers the phone, and documentation that travels with the goods. Buyers who need a custom integrated system should engage their own engineering team and bring us the resulting bill of materials; buyers who need the sensing layer of that system supplied quickly and consistently are exactly who this counter exists for.

Six services, one part rail

Each card below is a counter service, not a shelf label. Widths and offsets differ because the work behind them differs; the letters are counter marks, not a sequence.

Proximity Sensor Modules

Inductive and capacitive modules in the thread sizes that integrated systems builders ask for most often. Each unit is checked against a reference target before it is placed in a tray cell, so a technician who unwraps a module at a door frame is not the first person to power it. We stock shielded bodies for flush mounting and longer unshielded bodies where sensing distance matters more than a clean face.

Ribbon Cable Bundles

Flat conductor runs cut to length, terminated and coiled so that the bundle drops into a trunking channel without fighting back. We mark each coil with its length and conductor count on a paper tag that survives handling in a van. Custom terminations are assembled at the counter when a buyer supplies the connector part number and the pinout.

Starter Kit Boxes

A sealed box that contains one sensor module, one matching cable run, a mounting bracket set and a folded reference card. Kits are built for technicians who are sent to a site and need to finish a single mounting job without chasing a second order. Boxes are labelled by kit type and batch so that the person holding one can tell at a glance whether it matches the installation drawing.

Bulk Order Desks

For programmes where one purchase order covers several hundred modules, the counter assigns a single desk contact who owns the order from confirmation to last carton. Delivery windows are agreed in advance and stock is reserved against them, which means a scheduled truck is not left waiting while a tray is counted. Revisions to a bulk order are logged so that the paper trail stays consistent.

Sample Pair Shipments

Two units, one of each variant under comparison, packed in a small protective sleeve and sent ahead of a design freeze. A design team can mount the pair on a test rig, log the switching behaviour and return a decision without committing to a full tray. Sample pairs are drawn from production stock, never from a display set, so the unit tested is the unit supplied.

Warranty Swap Counter

A damaged or failed module comes back to the counter, is checked against its counter reference, and is either swapped for a matching unit or held for a written assessment. The swap desk exists because commissioning schedules rarely survive a week of waiting on an inspection. Replacement units are drawn from the same stock line and carry the remainder of the original warranty period.

Bulk window

Star Shinning International Limited opens its bulk order window at the start of each working week, and desks are assigned in the order that confirmed purchase orders reach the counter at Rm B 2/F Silvercorp Intl Tower.

From tray to carton: the counter process

01

Describe the job

The buyer sends a part list, a thread size table or simply a photograph of the mounting plate. Counter staff confirm what is available and what needs to be cut or assembled.

02

Reserve and quote

Stock is held against the enquiry, the quantity is confirmed against the tray count, and a written quote goes back with the expected handover date.

03

Assemble and tag

Modules are tested, cables coiled and tagged, kits sealed and labelled. Every carton receives a counter reference before it leaves the room.

04

Hand over and log

Goods are collected at the counter or dispatched by the agreed carrier. The reference stays open until the buyer confirms receipt, which matters for warranty swaps.

Why integrated systems buyers keep a counter line open

Integrated systems work is fragmented by nature. The same building may carry an access control panel, a conveyor counter, a lift door interlock and a machine guard, and each of those sub-systems will have been specified by a different party. What unites them is a sensing layer made of proximity modules and short cable runs. Holding that layer at a single counter shortens the loop between the person who discovers a missing part and the person who supplies it.

Star Shinning International Limited has built its counter around that loop. A buyer does not need an account login to ask whether twelve M18 modules are on the shelf. The sales desk answers by email at sales@genewtech.mom or by telephone at +14019229680, and a genuine answer about stock is more useful than a catalogue page that promises everything.

Documentation that travels

Each carton carries a list of contents, a counter reference and a note of the test record for the modules inside. When a site engineer opens a kit six weeks later, the paper still explains what is in the box.

Stock held against real schedules

Bulk desks reserve stock against agreed delivery windows, which is the difference between a promise and a plan. Sample pairs are pulled from the same production trays so that a test result means something.

The Mong Kok counter

The counter sits at Rm B 2/F Silvercorp Intl Tower, 707-713 Nathan Rd, Mong Kok, Hong Kong - 999077, Hong Kong (HK). It is a working stockroom, not a showroom, and visitors are welcome by appointment so that a tray can be opened for inspection without disrupting a packing run.

What we do not do

We do not design integrated systems, commission panels or take responsibility for a site wiring plan. Those tasks belong to the buyer and the engineering team retained for the project. Our role is to supply the sensing components, cut the cable runs to the drawing, and stand behind the stock we ship.

Two ways to begin

Send a part list to the sales desk and ask for availability, or book a counter visit and bring the drawing. Either route reaches the same desk, and either route produces a written reply that can be filed against a purchase order.

Counter hours

The counter is staffed Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 18:00 and on Saturday morning from 09:00 to 13:00, Hong Kong time. Enquiries that arrive outside those hours are logged and answered on the next working day.

Send the part list. We will answer against the tray count.
